Grants for AWA Regional Events
The AWA Board has a small amount of annual funding available to support AWA local area group events for up to $150 per event. Eligible events must be hosted by an approved AWA local area group, organized in advance, and announced to all AWA members in advance. If you have an idea for an event, please prepare a brief prospectus and e-mail it to [email protected] for review by the AWA Board.
Please include the following information:
WHAT: What is the event you would like to fund?
WHO: Who are you expecting to attend?
WHERE: Where is your event being hosted and which area group are you a part of?
WHEN: When is the event? Do you require any payments ahead of time?
HOW: How much will the event coast? Have you thought about ways to cut costs?
The Board reserves the right to deny certain parts of or all of the proposal, depending on the plan. Applicants can add letters of support to show local interest if you’re asking for a lot of funding. After the event, please e-mail receipts as attachments to [email protected] for reimbursement. Please also plan to write a short blurb summarizing the event for the AWA quarterly newsletter.
